Weed Wacker Pulling Association

History

The W.W.P.A. was created by the Tebo's in Indiana.

These guys were attempting to come up with something new

to add excitement to their lives and they came up with

the idea to build miniatures trucks and tractors using a

standard weed wacker engine.  They had found through much

experimentation that the weed wacker engine with the

typical transmission that was built for these miniature

pulling trucks could not handle the pulling force that

was developed on it.  They decided to upgrade to

chain saw engines (2.0 Cu In.) with gears and pulleys

that would achieve the pulling weights that were

introduced to these vehicles.  Although the trucks and

tractors are utilizing chain saw engines we are still using

the W.W.P.A. as our name.
